Record Participation Predicted At The SAZsport SnowTestival 2026 In Kühtai

With 87 exhibiting brands and more than 450 registered participants from over 150 retail companies, the second edition of the SAZsport SnowTestival 2026, taking place from January 25th to 27th, 2026 in Kühtai, surpasses the successful premiere at the beginning of 2025 – making it the top B2B event in the winter sports industry.

In about a 3 weeks, the time will have come: From January 25th to 27th, 2026, the winter sports industry will gather in Kühtai, Tyrol, for the second SAZsport SnowTestival. This B2B event will once again feature testing, expert discussions, and celebrations. The conditions for a top-notch event are excellent: More than 450 retailers from over 150 companies have already registered, and the number of participating brands is rising to 87. This further solidifies the Testival's position as the central industry meeting place.

Testing takes place directly on the slopes: skis, ski boots, bindings, and accessories can be compared directly in the high-altitude ski resort at over 2,000 meters. The offerings are complemented by ski touring products. A significantly expanded ski boot tent with approximately 700 square meters of heated space underscores the event's growing importance.

In addition to equipment testing, the SnowTestival focuses on in-depth technical training. Technique training, safety workshops, and service sessions on wax and edges are all part of the program. Guided ski tours round out the offerings. The goal remains to provide retailers with practical decision-making tools for the upcoming season – outside of traditional trade fair formats.

Networking also plays a key role. Retailers, manufacturers, and brand representatives from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, and Eastern Europe use the testival for personal exchange. "The combination of direct material testing and the supporting program makes the event a must," says Thomas Wagner, product manager at Sport Schuster. The long-established Munich-based retailer will participate again in 2026, following its participation in the premiere in 2025.

The event is supported by, among others, the sporting goods retail groups Intersport and Sport 2000. "The SnowTestival is the heart of winter sports," says Martin Koits, Head of Division Winter Sports at Sport 2000. "It's all about passion, innovation, and community." Thomas Maier, Senior Category Manager at Intersport, adds: "The SnowTestival is establishing itself as the industry meeting place for the winter sports equipment sector."

With its record participation and wide range of testing and training opportunities, SnowTestival 2026 underlines its great importance for trade and industry.
