Backcountry Magazine Honors Rab Men’s & Women’s Ski Touring Jacket

Rab, an industry leader in merging the development of quality outdoor gear and apparel with sustainability and environmental awareness, will head into the new 2021-22 winter season celebrating a pair of accolades from Backcountry Magazine for the company’s acclaimed Khroma Cirque GORE-TEX Jacket.

Backcountry Magazine bestowed a Gear Guide Editor’s Choice award on the Khroma Cirque ( below, right), a high performance, breathable 3-layer GORE-TEX Active shell designed for ski touring and available in both men’s and women’s sizes. The Khroma Cirque Jacket is highly breathable and efficient and has been designed to excel on both the uphill and the down, built with wind and waterproof 3-Layer GORE-TEX Active.

“The Cirque is a superlight, alpine-style hardshell that, in spite of its weightlessness, doesn’t lack for features,” the Backcountry Magazine reviewers wrote of the Khroma Cirque men’s jacket. “This is a true backcountry layer for touring in variable weather.”

With ski specific features, durable construction and effective breathability, the Khroma Cirque Jacket is the ideal outer layer for backcountry skiing and ski mountaineering. The jacket features concealed pit-zips to drop heat quickly and increase airflow when the incline steepens, and it has a full length YKK VISLON AquaGuard front zip with an internal storm flap, two large chest pockets which can easily swallow up skins, a map or gloves, and an internal secure zipped pocket.

“I found myself swapping layers around less in this jacket – if it’s getting warm, the breathability of the jacket and heat-dumping options will help you cool down without having to take your pack off,” the Backcountry Magazine reviewers wrote of the Khroma Cirque women’s jacket.
