Axess Builds Covid Pass Check Into Lift Ticketing System

Regardless of whether it's the next wave or new mutations, the coming winter season sometimes brings uncertainty for cable car operators. The conditions under which the ski operation will take place can change up to the last second. The Axess 3G control system ensures that the ski is operated in accordance with the law.

The solution from Axess ensures that only guests with a valid ticket and a valid EU Digital COVID Certificate (EUDCC) can pass the gates. The actual ticket sales process remains unchanged. This means that cable cars / resorts can sell their tickets to their guests as usual through all sales channels. The only difference: All tickets are issued in the inactive state. They must then be activated by the guests with their EU Digital COVID Certificate (EUDCC). Only then can they be used at the gate. This activation process takes place in the self-service procedure at the POA "Point of Activation". The Axess SMART SCANNER 600 serves as such a checkpoint. Guests scan their ticket and then the QR code of their EUDCC. A valid certificate activates the ticket.
Configuration options make it possible to define rules and adapt them to changes during the season. z. B. Validity period, etc. The online activation portal enables guests to conveniently activate their ticket online. Guests enter the ticket / sales number and upload the EUDCC QR code for verification. The system then activates the ticket according to the defined rule set. Handheld devices such as the Axess HANDHELDS can serve as additional and flexible "points of activation". Of course, the ski ticket can also be bought and activated at the cash desk. The EUDCC is scanned by the cashier and the ticket is activated. Or the cashier visually checks the presence of the EUDCC and then activates the ticket manually at the POS.
