Amplid Snowboards To Boost Sales In Austria With Olli Zettler

Olli Zettler is the new area representative for Austria for Amplid Snowboards. With this appointment AMPLID is not only bringing an experienced industry expert on board, but also a long-time friend and companion back into the team.

“We worked together in snowboard sales between 2004 and 2014 – a time that was characterised by trust, commitment and a pioneering spirit. So it’s all the more satisfying to have Olli at my side again,” says Gregor Common, Sales Manager at AMPLID.

“Olli’s passion for snowboarding is extraordinary,” says Peter Bauer, founder of AMPLID. “I’m really looking forward to working with him and count on many years of partnership with him at AMPLID.”

With this reinforcement, AMPLID is underlining its continuous growth in Europe and its goal of working successfully with strong partners in the long term.

In 2004, Peter Bauer's friend Anian Thrainer persuaded him to found Amplid, the first company to produce skis and snowboards from day one. Bauer used his contacts and was able to have the Amplid skis and snowboards manufactured in Burton's production hall, the Oldenburg ski factory in Waidhofen an der Ybbs (until 2008). After that, the boards were manufactured at Elan and Capita Snowboards ( climate-neutrally at the "Mothership Advanced Research Station 1") in Feistritz an der Gail, with bindings coming from the Far East.  Since summer 2019, Amplid snowboards have been manufactured by Playmaker in Taiwan, which also produces snowboards for Nitro, among others.
