686 Unites With Lonnie Kosuko Kauk For 686 EveryWear Apparel

686 has unveiled a partnership with Lonnie Kosuko Kauk. The collaboration within their EveryWear technical apparel collection embraces a departure from 686’s rich history in technical snowboard and ski outerwear.

The two celebrate the partnership with a limited-edition colorway of 686’s Everywhere Pant. The collaboration unveils an oversized version of Lonnie’s new Magic Line logo on an otherwise all black silhouette. The 10-pocket stretch pant is limited to 100 units and comes in a relaxed fit.

The new Magic Line logo celebrates the 5.14c crack in Yosemite that Lonnie’s father, Ron Kauk, first climbed in 1996, and then Lonnie completed as the first ever redpoint in 2018. The logo also externalizes Lonnie’s perspective to “live life like a magic line” in everything he does.

Both 686 and Lonnie have hinted at a collaboration over recent months, placing Easter Eggs in their social media. The official partnership embraces 686’s journey beyond their snow OuterWear and into urban centers, travel, trails and walls with their EveryWear collection.

Lonnie and 686 are currently working on forthcoming signature designs that could drop as early as Fall 2022.

“Before, I would actually bring my climbing pants and then have my Levi’s on. I would get here and I would change into my climbing pants and go climbing, and then go back to my ride at the end of the day and switch back to my Levi’s. I noticed with these you don’t have to do that. Which is funny how they call them the Everywhere Pant.” – Lonnie Kosuko Kauk

“Lonnie is not your typical professional climber. His roots and influences have informed his unique vision that we are proud to align with. His transition through the snowboard park, into the backcountry and then onto rock mirrors that of 686 and brought the whole project genesis full circle. We have so many inspired ideas and plans and we look forward to working together to bring them to life.” – Brent Sandor, VP Marketing, 686
