4th Annual SkiTech Held In Big Sky, Montana

SkiTech, a unique event for payments and financial services innovation, just completed its fourth annual gathering on February 27 – March 2 in Big Sky, Montana.

The event brought together C-Level executives in the payments, banking and FinTech industries. Attendees and speakers were from award-winning companies such as Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, American Express, Apple, Vantiv, WorldPay, BluePay, POS Portal, Womply and more.

The agenda included innovative and thought-provoking discussions for enhancing the financial technology (FinTech) category in the payments space. Discussions included a panel with three CEOs that sold their payments companies in 2017 for a combined $300+ million.

This year’s keynote speaker was endurance athlete and world record holder Colin O’Brady, who completed the Explorers Grand Slam in a world record, 139 days in 2016. He climbed the Seven Summits and skied the last degree to the North and South Poles, all in an effort to raise awareness and funds to inspire active, healthy kids in partnership with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation.

“We just wrapped up another great SkiTech. The diverse attendees and fintech-related discussions continue to be a huge draw for the event. Countless relationships have been formed and tens of millions of dollars of business have funneled through the event and the momentum continues to grow each year,” said Todd Ablowitz, CEO of Double Diamond Group and headline sponsor of SkiTech.

SkiTech has also announced plans to create a fund and extend invitations to the event for up-and-coming founders. “In the four years since SkiTech has started, we’ve seen countless doors open for attendees in FinTech, and we are actively contributing to this high-growth industry," said Jeremy Wing, Co-Founder of SkiTech and Chairman at Payscape. "We would like to continue this trend by creating a fund to allow new players in the space the same opportunity. We would like SkiTech to be the platform for a new generation of ideas.”

SkiTech included exciting events such as the annual downhill skiing competition, daily dinners, networking events, ample skiing time and a competitive dodgeball tournament, a favorite among attendees.

SkiTech is an annual gathering of C-level executives in the payments and financial service industry. The group of individuals are at the forefront of innovation for connected commerce and have expertise in mobile, retail, marketing services, data, banking and technology. In just four years, SkiTech has fundamentally disrupted the standard industry conference and created an environment where operators have the ability to conduct meaningful conversations in a casual environment with a finite group of attendees, responsible for billions of dollars in revenue and limitless innovation.
