Helly Hansen Launches Fully Featured Atlas Infinity Stretch Jacket -Delivers Maximum Comfort & Protection With Groundbreaking Stretch Fabric

For nearly 150 years, Helly Hansen, a leading global ski brand trusted by professionals all over the world, has continued to make professional-grade gear to help people stay and feel alive on the mountain. With innovation at its core, the Norway-based brand pushes the boundaries of performance, drawing on professional insight and feedback to create new fabrics and technologies. For Winter 2025, Helly Hansen is introducing the new Atlas Infinity Stretch Jacket (£700), a fully featured ski jacket with a brand-new stretch fabric for maximum comfort and freedom of movement without compromising weatherproof protection.

Inspired by their work with ski professionals, including ski racers, patrollers and coaches, Helly Hansen’s designers wanted to create a comfortable jacket that delivered stretch and flexibility while still offering full protection in even the toughest weather conditions. An innovation that’s been years in the making, the Atlas Infinity Stretch Jacket features the brand’s most innovative LIFA INFINITY technology while also incorporating stretch. Originally launched in 2020, LIFA INFINITY™ is a professional-grade waterproof/breathable technology without the use of solvents or PFAS. It’s constructed with the unique LIFA INFINITY membrane, a face fabric and a durable water-repellent treatment. While offering inherent hydrophobic properties, the polypropylene polymer used in the membrane also poses challenges when it comes to stretch due to its crystallinity.

After years of research, development and testing, Helly Hansen has now been able to build the LIFA INFINITY membrane into a stretch fabric, making this porous membrane technology an even bigger breakthrough – offering a new level of comfort and performance and enabling it to replace the traditional stretch alternatives that have historically relied on chemicals (PFAS and solvents). Meeting the extreme waterproofness and breathability of HELLY TECH Professional construction, and now with stretch, the Atlas Infinity Stretch Jacket delivers the highest level of protection and comfort for long days on the slopes.

The jacket is also built with PrimaLoft Gold Cross Core insulation, using aerogel technology for lightweight warmth, andSome description as a fully featured ski jacket, it’s loaded with innovative technologies and performance features including – H2Flow technology that enhances air circulation and heat distribution through ventilation zips and an exhaust outlet in the back yoke, a Life Pocket+ to keep phones running longer in colder climates, a silicone phone leash which accommodates a variety of phone sizes to minimize any drop risk, and zip away powderskirt for a sleek, clean finish when it’s stashed away. The jacket also features a helmet-compatible hood with high-vis neon yellow that is visible when the expandable fan is zipped open for safety and visibility, especially in extreme, snowy conditions. The hood can also be removed when it’s not needed, and for added safety, the jacket also contains a RECCO reflector for searchability in an emergency.

Collaborating and learning from our professionals is at the core of everything we do. Their experiences and insights constantly motivate us to do better with new fabrics and technologies incorporated into quality, purpose-built designs,” said Øyvind Vedvik, VP for Winter Sports and R&D at Helly Hansen. “This season, after years of research and testing, their feedback inspired us to develop the first-to-market solvent-free stretch fabric featuring our top-of-the-line LIFA INFINITY technology, and we’re excited to launch it in a pinnacle piece in our piste collection with the Atlas Infinity Stretch Jacket.”

The Atlas Infinity Stretch Jacket will be available in men’s and women’s specific designs and colourways in-store and online starting in Autumn 2025. As part of Helly Hansen’s Ski Free program, consumers get a free day of skiing in one of over fifty premiere resorts in Europe and North America with the purchase of this jacket. To learn more about LIFA IINFINITY and the Ski Free program, please visit www.hellyhansen.com/en_gb/
