Melzer & Hopfner: Successful Completion Of The Albonabahn I In Stuben

The 8 EUB Albonabahn I in Stuben was successfully approved by the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) and can begin operations from December 1st, 2023! The new 8-person monocable gondola is not only a symbol of innovation, but also underlines Melzer & Hopfner expertise in the design and implementation of sophisticated cable car projects.

The team at Melzer & Hopfner is proud to have taken on a crucial role in the structural design and planning of the valley and mountain station buildings, coordination with authorities and the overall design management of this project. The harmonious integration into the surroundings and the high-quality design of the buildings reflect our vision of nature and technology in harmony.

They give a big thank you goes to Stubner Tourismus-Gesellschaft mbH for their trust and to the companies Swietelsky HTB, Doppelmayr Seilbahnen GmbH and CWA, who were significantly involved, for their excellent cooperation on this project. Together they paved the way for a modern and efficient cable car.

The Albona/Valfagehr ski area in Stuben am Arlberg is a paradise for ski enthusiasts and free ride enthusiasts. The Albonabahn I is a significant step in continuing to establish this area as a leading ski destination.
