Panda Optics Launch New Goggle Range For The 2019-20 Season

A brand new goggle range from Panda, RS1 (Race Series 1), geared towards performance piste skiers and ski racers, has been launched by Panda goggles. It brings the collection up to three models, including the existing Cobalt and Diablo models, as well as the Cove and Tide sunglasses.

There’s two colour options available in the RS1 Goggle - black with a blue polarised mirrored lens, matching blue logo and trademark bamboo graphics and red with a chrome polarised mirrored lens and matching silver thread logo.

The goggles also include the usual high standard of spec that Panda has become so well know for, such as wide double silicone lines on the inside of the strap to grip helmet, GUMA anti-fog technology, a second magnetic low light lens included with every pair, helmet compatibility and easily adjustable straps, plus three layer foam consisting of different densities for ultimate comfort.

There’s also a magnetic lens changing system (similar to bestselling Cobalt), with adaptions such as a small leaver on the bottom corner to help release magnetic strength, and a small frame as part of the top and bottom of lenses to help prevent scratches.

Founder of Panda Optics, Oliver Heath, said: “So many of our customers have seen Chemmy (Alcott, Olympic skier and BBC Ski Sunday presenter) wear the goggles that ski racers started to use them. We wanted to create a model that reflected that and also provided them with a goggle that suited what they do even more. Hence the RS1 was born. They have exactly the same high standard of design, function and tech as the best-selling Cobalt, but with the kind of functionality and style that ski racers are looking for”.
