Zermatt - Norqain Opens First Flagship Boutique, Cervo & The Omnia Among ‘The Best Hotels’ In Switzerland

Norqain, the family-run brand from Switzerland is spreading its roots in the famous mountain village of Zermatt. Zermatt is renowned for attracting adventurers with its outstanding outdoor sports facilities. Zermatt is also located at the foot of the Matterhorn, which inspired the striking Norqain logo.

The new Norqain boutique is located at Bahnhofstrasse 5 in Zermatt. Its innovative, modern interior design and architecture bring the daring spirit of adventure, freedom and independence collections to life. The natural stone and old wood from Zermatt used for the display cases and back walls give the 50-square-metre flagship boutique an inviting, rustic atmosphere. At the same time, the dynamic window displays inspired by the Swiss Alps add a modern feel.

Norqain chose Zermatt as the location for its first boutique because the village has been a strategic site for the brand since it was created in 2018. Zermatt is linked to several partnerships in which the brand is also involved. These include the "Matterhorn Ultraks" trail run, with over 400 mountain guides and ski instructors from Zermatters (the largest cooperative of ski instructors and mountain guides in Zermatt) as well as the mountaineer and Matterhorn speed record holder Andy Steindl.

The Connoisseur Circle, TrustYou and a public vote selected the best among the best in 13 categories. "The Omnia" and the "Cervo Mountain Resort" are among the winning hotels in the "Design and Boutique Hotels" category.

Both “Cervo Mountain Resort” and “The Omnia” made it to second place in the “Design and Boutique Hotels” category. First place goes to the 7132 Hotel in Vals.

«The Cervo inspires with highlights that can hardly be topped. Coronation? The Matterhorn view from almost every window », says the Connoisseur Circle rating. The review said about "The Omnia": "This mountain lodge covers all design nuances: The Omnia deepens transatlantic relations with a mix of American modernism and European roots."

The rating "THE BEST HOTELS" is the only rating that gives hotels in the luxury segment a standardized rating across 4 countries, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and South Tyrol, making it an established yardstick and guide for guests in the German-speaking area.
