West Mountain Holds Events To Benefit West Mountain School

The West Mountain School (WMS), West Mountain's 501 C(3) will be hosting its annual Ski Swap Consignment Sale Fundraiser and on November 18, 2018, WMS will host its annual Flannels and Handles Hoedown Fundraiser. The proceeds for both events will benefit WMS. WMS provides support to West Mountain with safety equipment, supplies and scholarships.

WMS' Ski Swap Fundraiser is perfect for skiers and boarders looking to sell or buy new or gently used skis, snowboards, boots, poles, helmets, or winter soft goods. Drop off for consignment items is Friday, November 10th from 4 to 8 p.m. Patrons looking to sell items must fill out a 2017 Consigner Inventory Sheet. As well as fill out and attach Ski Swap Price Tags on all items being sold. These forms can be found at, www.westmtn.net/wmss-ski-swap-nov-11th/. The Consignment Sale will take place Saturday, November 11th from 9a.m. to 4p.m. in the Main Lodge. Pick up of any unsold items will be Monday, November 13th from 10a.m. to 3p.m. Any equipment not picked up on Monday by 3 p.m. will be considered a donation to the West Mountain School. Additionally, WMS' Flannels and Handles Hoedown Fundraiser will take place November 18th from 7 to 11p.m. Matching Flannels are highly encouraged and Handles (Mustaches) on a stick will be provided at the event. There will be live music from the Stones Mountain Band, line dancing demonstrations, live auction, silent auction, dinner, drink specials, and more. The price is $100 per Couple or $60 per Individual. Guests must be over 21 to attend. Price includes a buffet dinner and two drink tickets per person of a house wine or beer. To purchase ticekts, stop by the front desk Monday through Friday from 9a.m. to 5p.m or purchase them at the door.

West Mountain encourages the public to attend both the Ski Swap and Flannels and Handles Hoedown Fundraisers. The West Mountain School Board of Directors are Patrick Cunningham, Babette Donlon, Sara Montgomery, Paula Slayton and Sean Warman.
