Brundage Mountain Reopening Starting Saturday December 20

Skiers and snowboarders eager to get back on the snow have another chance this weekend, as Brundage Mountain Resort reopens Saturday December 20, with the Easy Street Triple chairlift spinning. If snowfall and snow levels cooperate, additional lifts and terrain could open during the weekend.

Mountain operations teams are making day-by-day — and hour-by-hour — assessments of conditions across the mountain as a series of storms moves through the region.

Saturday lift tickets are $10 per person, plus a $5 fee for a reusable RFID card for guests who do not already have one. The Easy Street Terrain Park will also feature new elements, offering early-season variety for freestyle riders.

Lift ticket prices will be adjusted in the coming days in accordance with the amount of terrain and lift service available. Guests are encouraged to check the Brundage Snow Report page for the latest operational changes and ticket pricing.

“Crews are working nonstop to evaluate conditions and safely prepare terrain as the weather evolves,” said Brundage Mountain General Manager Ken Rider. “This storm cycle has been a bit tricky with fluctuating snow levels, but the outlook is improving — and we’re ready to take advantage of every window we get.”

The forecast is calling for approximately 16–18 inches of snow over the next five days, but with variable snow levels. Colder temperatures are expected to arrive beginning the night of Dec. 24, with additional, significant snowfall forecast for Dec. 25–26.

“It looks like Santa should be delivering colder temperatures after the sun goes down on Christmas Eve,” Rider said. “That timing could line up perfectly with another storm and help us continue expanding terrain during the holiday break.”

Looking ahead, Brundage’s holiday traditions remain on the calendar regardless of terrain offerings. Santa Claus will visit Brundage Mountain on Christmas Day, and the resort will host its annual Light Up the Night New Year’s Eve Celebration to ring in 2026.
