Vitalpin Presents New Managing Director

After the restart and the election of the new board last autumn, the club based in Innsbruck has now appointed a new managing director, Manuel Lutz. The annual theme of the nationally active association is the economical and effective use of resources.

Vitalpin presented its new managing director as part of the Tyrolean and South Tyrolean Cable Car Day on April 3rd in Ischgl. Manuel Lutz emerged as the best candidate for the position from the public advertisement and the subsequent multi-stage hearing. Vitalpin chairman Elmar Pichler Rolle: “We made a good choice with Manuel Lutz and are now equipped to explain and explain the importance of sustainable tourism for mountain areas to those who are prejudiced and often only see the negative sides. We will support all sectors of the economy and show what importance Alpine tourism has for the population as a whole.”

Manuel Lutz completed his diploma in international economics at the University of Innsbruck and specialized in international marketing and management at the University of Siena (Italy). Lutz also completed a Bachelor of Science in Management and Economics. Since 2019, Lutz has worked in a permanent position as an editor at the Tiroler Tageszeitung.

“I have been following Vitalpin’s work with great interest since it was founded in 2019. In my opinion, the idea of bringing people, tourism and nature together in the Alps is unavoidable and in keeping with the times. In order to strengthen cooperation within the Vitalpin network and achieve common goals, my new role will include acting as a mouthpiece. In this way, central issues of Alpine tourism can be brought to the fore,” says Lutz.

Vitalpin's annual theme for 2024 is resource efficiency in operations and construction. At the beginning of May, Lutz will present “VitalpINsights”. Vitalpin members thus have new and quick access to over 500 studies in the Vitalpin knowledge library.
