Vail Welcome Centers Earn Gold Certification From Colorado Tourism Office

The Town of Vail Welcome Centers have been recognized by the Colorado Tourism Office as a Colorado Concierge Gold Business. This status certifies the Welcome Centers as a resource for sharing Colorado knowledge and Colorado-style hospitality. To obtain this certification, staff and volunteers were required to conduct online training which included segments on public health and safety, outdoor recreation and the Leave No Trace Principles.

The Welcome Centers, located in Vail and Lionshead villages, attract more than 158,000 guests annually. The Welcome Centers are open 365 days a year for guests to relax and learn more about the town, Vail Mountain and surrounding areas. The friendly and knowledgeable staff assist guests with everything from wayfinding to events and activities. The Welcome Centers also coordinate the Community and Trail Host Programs, with over 60 volunteers that help guests navigate Vail, both in town and at local trailheads.

“Having the staff and hosts participate in the Colorado Concierge Program has significantly enhanced the Vail guest experience. We are honored to receive this recognition,” said Amanda Zinn, supervisor.
