PARK CITY, Utah (July 22, 2020) - The thrills of ski jumping and nordic combined will be captured by USA Nordic in its release of Ticket to Fly, a new podcast exploring the sports through the lens of key domestic and international sport figures.
Ticket to Fly: The USA Nordic Podcast is hosted by noted sport commentator and broadcaster Peter Graves and produced by longtime U.S. Ski Team spokesperson Tom Kelly. The podcast will feature star athletes and sport leaders from the world of ski jumping and nordic combined.
In episode one, Graves chats with longtime FIS Ski Jumping Race Director Walter Hofer. Hofer explains how he helped change the sport of ski jumping over the last thirty years. In episode two, new USA Nordic Chief of Sport Jed Hinkley shares his background and philosophies from the importance of clubs to managing sport in a COVID-19 era.
“The Ticket to Fly podcast will allow ski jumping and nordic combined fans around the world to learn something new and grow even closer to these sports we hold dear,” says USA Nordic executive director Billy Demong. “Peter Graves insight and enthusiasm will bring out the best in our athlete and sport leader guests on Ticket to Fly.”
The first season of Ticket to Fly will include over a dozen episodes. The show will debut with one episode per month until the season kicks off in November, when it moves to two episodes per month throughout the entire competition season.
