Unveiling The Design Behind Casa Cook Madonna: Brand New Hotel Opening in The Dolomites

Set to open in June 2025 in the picturesque village of Madonna di Campiglio, Casa Cook Madonna is the brand’s first ever mountain retreat in partnership with lifestyle hotel operator TREASURESTS Hospitality and JP Hospitality Investors Club. The hotel’s unique design incorporates Casa Collective’s signature style of understated luxury with a deep connection to its surrounding alpine landscape and serene mountain charm. Making a move away from the existing portfolio of beachfront retreats across Greece and Egypt, Casa Cook Madonna will make its mark in Italy’s stylish Dolomites for the first time this summer.

Design Concept and Inspiration

The design of each Casa Cook property is a creative collaboration between Casa Collective and Remo Masala, founder of Vision Alphabet, the original creator of the brand. Together, they shape the aesthetic vision for every location, working closely to bring the distinctive Casa Cook style to life. Casa Cook Madonna is no exception, sharing the same sense of laid-back luxury, comfort and connection with its surroundings. The addition of mountain character and thoughtful touches throughout, from the carefully curated materials and local suppliers, to the intimate spaces crafted to suit all seasons, make this adults-only sanctuary stand out.

Echoing the rhythm and palette of the mountains, Remo took inspiration from his childhood holidays in the Italian mountains where nothing felt over-designed but everything felt intentional. Combined with Casa Collective’s vision, they have captured the feeling of a considered and contemporary, yet grounded alpine retreat. The hotel’s design reflects its breathtaking surroundings, rich history, and the culture of the Italian Alps. The use of local craftspeople for creating handmade finishes and sourcing materials such as travertine, stone and timber creates a sense of authenticity in line with Casa Collective’s signature style. Sustainability in design is a focus throughout, with thermal insulation, locally sourced materials and organic fabrics a key priority. Sustainability lies also in the simplicity of design and long-term quality, where everything is decorated with intention rather than excess.

Interior Design

The interiors feature natural materials, earthy tones, and a seamless blend of timeless and contemporary elements. Stone and dark timber give the spaces weight and depth, while linen, wool and raw textiles soften the property, creating a welcoming sense of intimacy for guests. Local craftsmanship, and a sense of place create an immersive experience where comfort and relaxation are paramount, inviting guests to slow down and reflect.

The 50 design-led rooms are tranquil and effortless, striking the balance between minimalism and comfort. The interiors boast chic alpine touches and a natural, simplistic aesthetic to compliment the elegant and earthy colour palette of the surrounding landscape. Every room is designed to feel deeply connected with the view, in both layout and emotion.

A Hotel for Every Season

The design of the hotel seamlessly blends between day and night, throughout the seasons. Light dances across the stone and quiet corners are created to make each guest feel like they are in their own mountain home. The spaces adapt to the seasons with warm, cocooning interiors for winter and fresh, open spaces for summer.

The hotel is located in prime position for reaching the lifts and pistes, offering guests direct access to snowshoe hiking, skiing, snowboarding and breathtaking walking trails in winter; and scenic hikes, mountain biking and rock climbing throughout the summer months. Casa Cook Madonna is a destination to return to, to rest and to reconnect throughout the seasons.

The hotel is a haven for guests with an incredible culinary experience in the property’s pared-back restaurant, boasting a menu curated by three Michelin-star chef Jacob Jan Boerma. There is also a well-equipped gym, a spa, a sauna and an innovative boot room. Yoga sessions allow guests to unwind after a day outdoors and rejuvenating spa treatments are available to promote longevity and wellness, allowing guests to fully disconnect and embrace the tranquillity of the destination.
