Unique Hotel Post Zermatt Launches New Gastronomy Concepts

In the iconic Zermatt design and lifestyle Unique Hotel Post, with four different restaurants and five bars and clubs, there will be various innovative and interesting catering concept adaptations and expansions for the coming winter season.

Various new innovative concepts await at the Unique Hotel Post

Among other things, new food concepts were designed in the “Pöstli” Together with the new executive chef Diogo Monteiro Correia, who has found his way into the village after a long and successful work as a chef on the mountain (Restaurant Chez Vrony) and in cooperation with the former chef and star chef of the Hotel Giardino Ascona, Adrian Bührer, were together designed new food concepts.

"VIVANDA - Mediterranean flavors"

The restaurant “The Factory” with Mediterranean specialties, with a focus on pizza and pasta dishes, will open on November 25, 2021 with an adapted and refreshing gastronomy concept under the new name “VIVANDA - sapori mediterranei”.

The VIVANDA restaurant will be an authentic Italian Ristorante, with an emphasis on original, fresh and homemade Italian products, preparation methods and dishes. Thanks to a new charcoal grill, various special fish and meat dishes such as an authentic Italian “bistecca alla fiorentina” will be offered in the future. A fine selection of pasta and pizza from the wood-fired oven will continue to be offered, albeit in a reduced form.

The restaurant name VIVANDA means “dish”, “food” and “delicacy” in Italian. The name of the restaurant was chosen to clearly indicate the Italian-inspired culinary delights and preparation methods.

«BAO BAR – asian street food”

The current POST restaurant with its sharing food concept is also being redesigned and redesigned as the “Pop Up Restaurant” of the Unique Hotel Post. The hosts want to let their gastronomic creativity run wild and respond quickly, surprisingly and innovatively to the new, constantly changing needs and wishes of the guests.

The new and trendy winter gastronomy concept “BAO BAR - asian street food” will start at the beginning of December 2021. In cooperation with the star chef Adrian Bührer, various delicious and currently very trendy Bao Buns were created.

The BAO BAR is an uncomplicated «lounge bar concept». The guests can enjoy Asian delicacies or a selection of Bao Buns to trendy lounge music until the early hours of the morning with fine drinks.

Room renewal

In addition to new catering concepts, there is also a breath of fresh air in the rooms at the Unique Hotel Post. In cooperation with the internationally renowned interior designer Federica Palacios, who was already responsible for the design of the 4-star superior design and Lifestlye Unique Hotel Post during the total renovation in 2007 and for all subsequent renovation and expansion work, all rooms are currently being upgraded to the freshened up and redecorated for the coming winter season.

This contemporary makeover is to be seen as a natural process of further development of the original design and hotel concept of the Unique Hotel Post. The design and the design convey a dignified yet trendy effect which reflects a certain timelessness ("a timeless ambiance") through its authenticity. Particular emphasis is placed on sustainability and the connection between tradition and modernity.
