TVB Paznaun-Ischgl Appoints Heaven Publicity As UK & Ireland PR Agency

Specialist Activity and Lifestyle travel PR consultancy, Heaven Publicity, is delighted to announce that it has been appointed by the TVB Paznaun-Ischgl in Tirol, Austria as its PR agency for the UK and Ireland to represent Ischgl, Galtür, Kappl and See year round.

Following in the herculean footsteps of Ski-write communications agency, who led the PR account for the region for more than 20 years, the owner, Sue Freeman, has decided to hang up her metaphoric skis for a well-deserved retirement. Sue plans to spend more time with her new granddaughter as well as travelling to Canada and staying with her son, who lives there. However, she will always be a part of the Ischgl family.

Heaven Publicity will work with the Austrian regional tourist board, TVB Paznaun-Ischgl team to capitalise on the British interest in European winter-sports holidays and the glorious Alpine summer season. Heaven Publicity will use its creative expertise, knowledge and contacts to amplify TVB Paznaun-Ischgl’s messages.

The account will be headed up Lynsey Devon, founder and managing director of Heaven Publicity, and one of the company’s in-house Alpine experts. Lynsey has a long-established career in destination promotion overseeing award winning campaigns for flagship regional destinations.

Andreas Steibl, Tourist Director, TVB Paznaun-Ischgl, says: “We are greatly looking forward to working with Heaven Publicity. Their knowledge of our region, senior media contacts and expertise in delivering campaigns make them an ideal partner for the TVB Paznaun-Ischgl during this vital period.”

Heaven Publicity’s activity will be focused on media outreach, targeting consumer and trade media, and raising awareness of all members of the TVB Paznaun-Ischgl, their initiatives and USPs and the wider activity in line with the overall tourism goals.

Lynsey Devon says: “We are delighted to be working with TVB Paznaun-Ischgl. Ischgl is very close to my heart and we are huge advocates of the region's holiday offering. We are honoured to be supporting the region at this critical time to ensure the profile of the region, and therefore the Tirol and Austria, is optimised and tourism to the region bounces back. We all love the great outdoors and can often be found skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, cycling – which this region offers in abundance.”

With the travel industry facing unprecedented challenges in the wake of Covid-19, the role of Heaven Publicity will be paramount. The company will tackle the impact of a deeply decreased tourism market in a region very much reliant on revenue from visitors, especially from the UK and Ireland.

Winter: Ischgl's Silvretta Arena, which includes extensive cross-border skiing into Switzerland, comprises 238 km of perfectly groomed pistes and 44 state-of-the-art ski lifts. The five-month long season is opened and closed by big name open-air concerts, which has seen the likes of artists such as Elton John, Robbie Williams and Lenny Kravitz perform.

Summer: Emphasising the town’s lesser known, but equally attractive, cultural, gastronomic and family products, with foodie events held on the mountain with top chefs from all over Europe taking part. In summer, it’s the Culinary Jakobsweg hiking trail, in which Michelin-starred UK chefs Simon Hulstone, Stephen Crane, Matthew Tomkinson and Russell Brown have taken part.
