Swiss Ski Kicks Off Olympic Winter With Traditional Gathering

The Swiss-Ski Mass Day marks the start of the new season each May. Immediately before the Swiss-Ski Night, more than 300 athletes from the squad and an equal number of support staff members gathered at The Hall event location in Dübendorf to kick off the season's preparations.
The Masstag is one of the few days during the year when the entire Swiss Ski family – across all eleven sports within the association – gathers at the same location. During the gathering of the Swiss Ski family in Dübendorf, measurements were taken for the next winter season to ensure the optimal equipment for sporting success. The athletes can once again look forward to the proven quality of the existing suppliers of the Swiss Ski Pool.
All members of the Swiss Ski squad were equipped for their summer training in The Hall event hall – including training clothing and shoes for physical training, running, and sports lifestyle from On. In total, more than 10,000 items from the Swiss sports brand were donated. Under a new agreement, On will equip all athletes in all eleven Swiss Ski sports for summer training until at least 2034. In addition, the athletes and staff received bike clothing from X-Bionic (Alpine) and Odlo (Nordic), as well as caps from Reusch (Alpine) and Odlo (Nordic). A total of 41 exhibitors were present in Dübendorf, accepting individual orders from athletes and staff members.
"We can rely on a long-standing, trusting collaboration with our various equipment suppliers. We are very grateful for this. Our loyal partners are undoubtedly an important part of Swiss-Ski's success. They always offer our athletes the best conditions when it comes to equipment – whether in preseason or during the competition season," says Silvan Nideröst, Head of Equipment at Swiss-Ski and Managing Director of the Swiss Ski Pool.
The Mass Day serves as a welcome platform for exchange between the various teams and for meetings within the various sports clusters. The new athletes on the 2025/26 squad, of which there are 58 across all sports, also participated in an information session organized for them, where they learned about the working methods and contact persons of the various departments of Swiss-Ski (Commercial, Ski Pool, Competitive Sports, Corporate Communication, HR, Finance) and Swiss Sport Integrity. Portrait photos of the new athletes and all new support staff working for Swiss-Ski were also taken during the Mass Day.
