Sun Peaks' August concert expands to two days featuring Dan Mangan and Bedouin Soundclash

On August 25-26, Music in the Mountains will hit Sun Peaks' slopeside, open-air concert stage for a weekend of free award-winning performances. Two-time JUNO award winner and two-time Polaris Music Prize listed musician and songwriter, Dan Mangan, returns to Sun Peaks to kick-off the weekend with his indie-rock tunes on Saturday evening. Bedouin Soundclash will round out the JUNO award-winning lineup when they hit the stage on Sunday afternoon.

New nonstop service connecting Toronto to Kamloops takes flight

This summer, it's faster than ever for guests from Ontario and beyond to reach Sun Peaks. Launching June 21, Air Canada Rouge's new nonstop service welcomed nearly 100 passengers on its inaugural flight from Toronto to Kamloops. The new service allows guests to leave Toronto and be in Sun Peaks in time to enjoy an afternoon in the mountains, be it a round of golf, alpine sightseeing, or soaking up the sun on one of the village's many restaurant patios.

Travel tip: By showing their same-day, nonstop Air Canada Toronto to Kamloops boarding pass, visitors arriving on this service are entitled to either one complimentary alpine sightseeing ticket, or 50% off one 18 or 9 hole green fee with cart, on the day of their arrival.*

Alpine blossom festival in full bloom this July

Explore Sun Peaks' alpine wildflowers at the height of their bloom during the Alpine Blossom Festival, July 28-29. Take a scenic ride on the Sunburst Express chairlift, or join Nancy Greene on the seventh annual Reach the Peak hike to Tod Mountain's summit. Whichever route you choose, the vibrant hues and floral aroma of fireweed, alpine lupine and Canada goldenrod will surely elate your senses. The village will also come alive with a stellar lineup of activities and entertainment. Hop on a tour with OK Heli for a bird's eye view of the mountain landscape, have your face painted at the Kids Zone, or pull up a lawn chair for free live music from Ben Klick, Bobs & Lolo, Twin Kennedy, and Sue Foley.
