Stio Announces New Stowe, VT Mountain Studio

Stio, the mountain lifestyle brand based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, is delighted to announce the opening of its newest Mountain Studio® in Stowe, Vermont.
Nestled in the heart of Stowe Village, the brand’s latest retail location feels right at home in a kindred mountain town community and a building rich with mountain heritage. Built in the late 1800s and part of the Stowe Historic District, the space has long been woven into the community’s story. Once owned by the Mansfield family - namesake of Vermont’s highest peak, Mount Mansfield, and home to Stowe Mountain Resort - the building has journeyed from a working barn to artist Jean Pau Patnode’s studio and home, and later to a gallery celebrating American craftsmanship.
“We’re thrilled to join the Stowe community and open our doors in such a meaningful, historic location,” said Kris Nelson, retail director of Stio. “Stowe embodies everything we value: a strong sense of place, mountain heritage, and a vibrant outdoor culture. We can’t wait to connect with the community and share our passion for life lived close to the mountains.”
The Stowe Mountain Studio is prepped to open on Friday, December 19, 2025, marking Stio’s first retail location in Vermont and its 14th nationwide. The space will feature a full selection of Stio apparel, footwear, and accessories designed to perform from mountain town to mountain top.
Stio is currently hiring store staff - including Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, and associate staff positions. Interested applicants can review job postings on the Stio Careers page or email careers@stio.com for more info.
