Sportbahnen Braunwald: Patrick P. Angehrn Becomes New CEO & Chairman

Sportbahnen Braunwald AG will have a new CEO from May 2023. With Patrick P. Angehrn, a proven tourist expert with experience in mountain railways is moving from the Hochwang Sportbahnen to Braunwald.

The Board of Directors of Sportbahnen Braunwald AG (SBAG) has lic.rer.pol. Patrick P. Angehrn unanimously appointed new CEO. The 46-year-old, who lives with his family in Schänis, has managed the Hochwang Sportbahnen with the mountain railway, gastronomy and hotel sectors for the past two years. After graduating from university in business administration and postgraduate studies in project management, he headed a department at the Federal Office of Transport. He then gained extensive experience in the development of new tourism offers and, in particular, the successful implementation of strategic projects as head of market development and managing director of tourism and transport companies.

Richard Bolt, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SBAG since October 2021, is convinced of the skills of the new CEO: "His track record in his previous positions is impressive. I and the entire Board of Directors are convinced that, with his good education and broad professional experience, he is ready to successfully implement the new strategy of the Braunwald sports railways.”

Patrick P. Angehrn is looking forward to the new task: «As a Schänner, I have always followed the development of the Braunwald sports railways closely.
