Solos Unveils New Ski Destinations For Winter 2025/26 Amidst Surge In Early Bookings

As the 2025/26 ski season approaches, a notable trend has emerged among British skiers: a significant increase in early bookings. According to a recent survey by The Ski Club of Great Britain, 41% of respondents have booked their skiing holiday more than six months before travel, up from 32% in 2023. This shift reflects a growing desire to secure the best prices and preferred accommodation ahead of the season. 

Solos has also seen a similar uplift, with early bookings for the 2025/26 season up 15% YOY and 34% up vs same period in 2023.

NEW: Les Deux Alpes, France: For winter 2025/26, Solos offers a brand-new ski holiday in Les Deux Alpes, one of Europe’s top resorts and home to a glacier at 3,600m. With snow-sure slopes and runs for all levels, beginners can build confidence on gentle nursery areas and glacier pistes, while intermediates enjoy vast terrain and advanced skiers tackle challenging reds, blacks, and off-piste. Part of the Grande Galaxie ski area, Les Deux Alpes provides 220 km of pistes, served by 39 lifts and stretching from tree-lined runs near the village to the high-altitude snowfields of the glacier. Along the way, there is a wide choice of mountain restaurants that makes for scenic and sociable stops. Guests stay at Hotel Ibiza, a three-star base with panoramic views of the Ecrins National Park. The hotel features a spacious lounge and bar with floor to ceiling windows, indoor swimming pool and spa facilities. Just 300m from the lifts, the hotel provides a weekday shuttle service, making it ideal for all abilities.

NEW: Meribel, France: For winter 2025/26, Solos adds Méribel-Mottaret to its ski programme. Set at 1,750m in the heart of Les 3 Vallées, the world’s largest ski area, guests enjoy direct access to 600 km of pistes linking Courchevel, Val Thorens and Les Menuires. The vast ski domain caters for every level, from gentle beginner slopes to challenging high-altitude descents, with sweeping views across the French Alps. Off the slopes, Méribel offersa lively après-ski scene, perfect for solo travellers looking to ski and socialise. Guests stay at Hôtel Le Mottaret, a ski-in, ski-out property located right on the slopes beside the ESF ski school and hire shop. The hotel features comfortable rooms, a bar and restaurant, and a spa area to unwind after a day on the mountain. Shops, bars and restaurants are a short walk away, with a free shuttle running to Méribel Centre. 

A seven-night Meribel Ski, Francetrip, departing on 10 January 2026 costs from £3,255 pp, this includes astandard room for solo use, breakfast and a five-course dinner daily, half bottle of wine with evening dinner, a welcome drink, free access to the hotel spa area and an accompanying Solos Tour Leader.

Arinsal Intermediate, Andorra: Following the success of last year’s Beginners Ski Week in Arinsal, Andorra, Solos is offering aNEWIntermediate Ski Week this winter. Nestled in the Pyrenees between France and Spain, Andorra’s Vallnord-Pal Arinsal ski resort offers great-value skiing, a friendly village atmosphere, and slopes that are ideal for improvers. With 63 km of pistes linked by 44 lifts, the resort caters for all abilities, though intermediates will especially enjoy the wide selection of blue and red runs, perfect for building confidence. At altitudes of up to 2,560m, skiers are rewarded with superb snow conditions and stunning mountain views. Ski school is a key part of the week, with guests joining a group led by expert instructors to develop technique while sharing the camaraderie of skiing together. Guests stay at the Yomo Patagonia Hotel, a modern property set at the foot of the resort just 50m from the main six-seat ski lift. A seven-night Arinsal Ski – Intermediate Week trip, departing on 1March 2026, costs from £2,099 pp. This includes return flights and transfers, airport taxes, a twin room for solo use, breakfast and dinner daily, a welcome drink, six-day ski pass, six-day silver ski hire (skis, boots, poles and helmet), five days of ski school (three hours per day) and an accompanying Solos Tour Leader. 

Folgaria, Italy: Found in the Trentino Alps, Folgaria is a long-standing Solos favourite, offering reliable snow, relaxed evenings, and a warm Italian welcome. With 100% snowmaking coverage and 280 cannons, conditions are consistent throughout the season, making it an excellent choice for beginners and intermediates looking to build skills and confidence.The resort’s 85 km of pistes are served by 30 lifts, ranging from gentle slopes for mastering the basics to varied terrain for progressing turns and technique. Off the slopes, guests can try snowshoeing, Nordic walking, ice skating, or cross-country trails, with sleigh rides and hearty Italian food adding to the charm. Ski transfers are free with a valid lift pass, and equipment can be stored at the rental shop near the lifts.
