Skiweekends Add New Resort Of La Rosiere And Four New Chalets To Its Program

Short break specialist SkiWeekends continues to buck trend and expends its chalet offering in the French Alps – becoming the largest catered chalet operator in Avoriaz.

Adds new French resort of La Rosiere – an ideal short break destination with new ski terrain in the 2019 winter and a link to the Italian resort of La Thuile.

SkiWeekends is now offering the resort of La Rosiere for the 19-20 winter season, adding the French Tarentaise region resort to its extensive portfolio. The resort has seen large infrastructure development over the past two years, with a new lift accessing off-piste terrain opening last winter season.

La Rosiere suits all levels of skier and snowboarder and is also an ideal family destination, with lots of wide south and west facing slopes and good beginner’s areas. Transfer times are relatively short compared to some of the other resorts in the area, making it an ideal destination for short breaks.

Managing Director of SkiWeekends, Dan Fox, said: “We know that at least half of skiers and snowboarders want catered chalet accommodation and we’re continuing to expand our offer whilst others cut down. The Portes du Soleil area that includes Morzine and Avoriaz is extremely popular for our short breaks, with short transfer times from Geneva and of course a fantastic ski offering. We now have a total of four ski-in-ski-out chalets in Avoriaz, with its high-altitude snow sure slopes. We’ve added La Rosiere too - it is one of those resorts that is really making a name for itself and we’re delighted to be the first to offer short break ski holidays to the destination. With the expanded ski area, it has got everything you need, great for beginners and experts alike, and you can pop over to Italy for lunch too”.
