Skidome Mania - World Cup Athletes Train Indoors

It’s been a strange summer and, as usual in skiing, the key word is adaptation! How do teams manage to get the most out of their ski training despite the difficult conditions?

The glaciers are in very good conditions, perhaps the best conditions we have seen in recent years! However, there are many national teams who have also opted for some training camps in the best indoor facilities around the world.

The italian speed team found a new way of training heading to the Landgraaf skidome. Christof Innerhofer, Emanuele Buzzi, Mattia Casse, Alexander Prast and Florian Schieder were training for a long weekend on ‘Dutch snow’.

The French tech team opted for one of the first ski domes in Europe, Amneville and the new Passay facility where technology allows them to ski in shorts and t-shirts.

The German national team chose the Oberhof tunnel for an alternative training.

Petra Vlhova trains in Lithuania and takes advantage of the skidome to test new equipment looking ahead to the new season.

Finally, the attacking vikings are also taking advantage of the new Oslo facility, where even the less specialized try to refine their slalom technique.
