Ski Riesneralm - Business Up 8%

As part of a media ski day, Managing Director Erwin Petz was able to welcome his guests to the "Last Track" and, as a personal guide, presented the diverse range of slopes on the Riesneralm.

Due to the high investment of 5 million euros in a snowmaking e-plant with a direct connection to the snowmaking system, the entire valley area can now be sufficiently snowed so that, despite the spring-like temperatures, all 4 valley runs and the children's ski area still have excellent slope conditions bring yourself This means that spring skiing can also be safely positioned in terms of tourism in the future and guests and accommodation providers can be offered a targeted extension of the season until mid-April.

The season started with many unknown aspects and legal requirements had to be implemented, some of which were difficult to understand. This is exactly why it was important that the whole team prepared the best possible conditions for the ski guests with positive energy. This actually succeeded, which is why Erwin Petz says a huge "THANK YOU" to his entire team.

Contrary to the general trend, the Riesneralm was able to achieve a full plus of 8% economically and thus enter the absolute record season in the history books. When asked how this incredible result came about, the managing director explains: "... that many pieces of the puzzle interlock here. One of them is due to the 2020/21 season, where we were able to present our business card to the guests despite corona-related restrictions. The unrestricted operation from the first to the last day has attracted many new customers who discovered the Riesneralm and then came to appreciate and love it. This year they have returned, so to speak, to their new insider tip. But the investments that have brought about a completely new quality of slopes in the valley area or on the newly developed Europacup slope are also part of this puzzle.

Managing Director Erwin Petz is convinced that with the structure that has now been established and the general trend of looking for relaxation away from large destinations, one can look forward to a good future.
