School Class Project 'YourWinterWeek' - After Successful Premiere, Continuation For Winter 2025/26

Winter sports weeks with the whole class are undoubtedly one of the highlights of any school year. Therefore, it is important to make this experience available to as many children and young people as possible. This is precisely why the winter sports initiative Your Winter. Your Sport. – supported by the German Ski Association, the German Ski Instructors Association, Snowboard Germany, and the Ski Safety Foundation – launched the school class project Your Winter Week. After a successful premiere with over 1,000 applications in winter 2024/25, the project will continue this season.

Last season, the school class project impressively demonstrated how central shared winter sports weeks are to school life and how important it is to make these formative experiences available to as many children and young people as possible. The project also highlighted the fundamental importance of exercise, community, and exposure to nature in an educational context. The goal for the coming season is once again to offer students in grades 7 to 10 from all German federal states an unforgettable week in the snow. A total of nine school classes – the project applies to all school types – once again have the chance to win a five-day school trip to a winter sports region in Germany, Austria, or Northern Italy. The classes themselves decide where they go. The destinations are as diverse as their ski resorts: In Bavaria, the students travel by train to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Lenggries in the Tölzer Land region, and Oberstdorf, and in Baden-Württemberg to Feldberg in the Black Forest. In Austria, the trip goes to Tyrol, to the Erste Ferienregion in the Zillertal and Stubai Valleys. And in Salzburger Land, school classes travel to Altenmarkt/Zauchensee and Obertauern. South Tyrol is also represented with the Kronplatz.

Travel to the snow is provided by Deutsche Bahn, Your Winter. Your Sport. Premium partner, ensuring that school trips are also easy, affordable, and climate-friendly, with a very low carbon footprint. All students will also be provided with high-quality rental equipment, provided by INTERSPORT in collaboration with selected sporting goods manufacturers. The costs for travel, local transportation, lift passes, ski/snowboard lessons, and overnight accommodation with full board are fully covered by the participating partners. The school trips are organized by alpetour and Klühspies Reisen – the specialists for school ski trips.
