Schöffel Highlights Pro Workwear For Top Performance On The Mountain – All Year Round

At its first trade fair appearance at Interalpin (May 6-9, 2025), the workwear brand Schöffel PRO impressively demonstrated its holistic approach to the mountain – with robust workwear for mountain railways and their service technicians, for the hospitality industry, and for manufacturers of alpine technology, ensuring top performance on the mountain even in the most adverse weather conditions. Interalpin is the leading international trade fair for alpine technologies and cable car technology, held every two years in Innsbruck. Schöffel PRO is the official supplier of the Interalpin trade fair team for 2025 and 2027.
Under the slogan "Born in nature. Created for work," Schöffel is expanding into the high-quality workwear segment: With the market launch of the new Schöffel PRO brand, the family-owned company offers highly functional and customizable workwear to employees of companies of various sizes and in all industries in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The designs can be adapted in a variety of ways to meet the needs of companies, thus strengthening their identity with customers and employees.
The Schöffel PRO range offers a holistic approach and can serve companies in the spirit of a consistent corporate identity. Employees on construction sites, in the workshop, or in customer service are included, as are employees in sales or administration.
Schöffel is the first company in the outdoor clothing industry to position workwear as a brand with an independent company. The subsidiary Schöffel PRO GmbH was founded for this purpose, with Thomas Bräutigam as Managing Director.
"Born in nature. Created for work. With our expertise from 50 years of experience in the outdoor industry and with clothing that defies the adversities of nature, we developed Schöffel PRO. With Schöffel PRO, we want to provide companies with comprehensive equipment, alpine technology companies, and mountain railways with corporate and workwear – from the office to the mountain station," says Thomas Bräutigam, Managing Director of Schöffel PRO GmbH.
As a workwear brand with the Schöffel DNA, Schöffel PRO offers individually designed workwear that is extremely robust, flexible and well-designed for any weather on the mountain.
For summer, the Bergbahn collection includes lightweight shorts (the "Cool Pack" model) and long work trousers (the "Workhorse" model). Both offer an extra cooling effect (proven to reduce skin temperature by 1°C to 2°C) thanks to the innovative S. CAFÉ® ICE-CAFÉ™ technology (a natural and durable coffee-based coating). The work trousers are also breathable, quick-drying, and odor-inhibiting.
- The first two products in the new CIRC collection, the functional shirts "CIRC UV Protection T-Shirt" and "CIRC UV Protection Long Sleeve," are breathable, quick-drying, and made from 100% recycled polyester. They are also certified according to EN 13758-2 (protective properties against UV sunlight) and offer the highest sun protection with UPV 50+.
- Another highly functional, robust, and individually adjustable pair of trousers is the extremely abrasion-resistant, best-in-class "Machine Knee Protection" work trousers, which, thanks to the new, innovative, and certified PRO knee protection trim material, lasts an average of 8x longer* than comparable products currently available on the market. The centerpiece of the Schöffel PRO work trousers collection is the innovative, zip-in, and fully closable PRO tool pocket.
- To successfully combat temperature fluctuations, Schöffel PRO recommends the "Schutzschild" weatherproof jacket. Certified to EN 343 Class 4/4, this high-end weatherproof jacket is robust, waterproof, and highly breathable thanks to its Venturi membrane. Thanks to a 20,000 mm water column, taped seams, and adjustable cuffs, the 2-layer jacket keeps you completely dry. The "Treuer Begleiter" jacket is a super-light and cozy fleece jacket that offers outstanding comfort for any activity thanks to its waffle fleece interior. The "Mit-Arbeiter" jacket, a functional softshell jacket, is suitable for almost any weather. It offers excellent climate flexibility thanks to its windproofness and 10,000 mm water column. It is also available as a "Mit-Arbeiter" vest.
- The highlights of the Schöffel PRO mountain railway collection for winter include the “Schutzschild Polar” winter jacket models (cold protection certification according to DIN 342 and rain protection certification according to DIN 343) and the “Arktis” model as well as the matching winter work trousers.
- The high-end "Schutzschild Polar" winter jacket with Venturi membrane is robust, waterproof, and highly breathable. Thanks to a 20,000 mm water column and taped seams, the 2-layer jacket keeps you completely dry. The 4-way stretch fabric and a two-way adjustable, ski helmet-compatible hood ensure optimal comfort. The matching "Schutzschild Polar" pants combine state-of-the-art cuts and robust fabrics with Schöffel's DNA. These pants were developed in collaboration with mountain railway employees for use in extreme conditions.
- The "Arktis" model is a sporty, durable, waterproof, and highly breathable work jacket with lightweight padding. Four-way stretch and numerous pocket solutions with YKK® AquaGuard® zippers ensure optimal comfort. This jacket also features a removable, two-way adjustable, ski helmet-compatible hood.
"Guests on the mountain don't notice it, but behind the scenes, peak performance is underway. Whether it's piste rescuers, snowcat drivers, or service technicians – they all ensure the safety of guests, even in the most difficult conditions. We are grateful for this and are pleased to be able to support and value the mountain helpers in their daily work with our highly functional workwear," continues Thomas Bräutigam, Managing Director of Schöffel PRO GmbH.
