Schmittenhohebahn Starts 95th Anniversary Year With A Staff Party On The Mountain

The Schmittenhöhebahn can now look back on 95 years of successful business activity.

Such a sustainable development is only possible with the commitment of the entire team. For this reason, the management of the Schmittenhöhebahn did not miss the opportunity to start the celebrations for the 95th anniversary with a lavish employee party in the new panorama restaurant. Long-serving employees were honored, special achievements by the apprentices were highlighted and the entire Schmitten team thanked for their enormous commitment over the past few years. Of course, after the awards, so much commitment was toasted and celebrated in "cable car style".

ZELL AM SEE. "Finally again a staff party!" thought more than 200 Schmittingers and accepted the invitation of the management to the "Panorama" last Friday evening, October 7th.

After a two-year break due to Corona, the Schmittenhöhebahn team was happy to finally be able to come together again in the "big round".

Of course, the celebration was used as an opportunity to honor long-serving employees for their dedication and commitment in the company. In addition to numerous 10, 20, 25 and 30 year anniversaries, long-standing employees were retired. Extraordinary honors were given to works council chairman Klaus Bogensberger, who is retiring after 42 years, and Ferdinand Eder for his particularly intensive commitment with 50 years of industry experience. When the certificates were handed over, Schmitten board member Dr. Erich Egger thanked the loyal employees for the many years of cooperation and again emphasized how important the commitment of each individual employee is for a service company like the Schmittenhöhebahn.

Since the Schmitten is particularly concerned about young people, the achievements of the apprentices were rewarded accordingly. The apprentices Bernhard Schützenhofer were honored for his excellent teaching success and Martin Hetz for the good success in the training as a cable car technician in the 2nd educational path. The success of the apprentice Celina Schuster was particularly highlighted. The only 20-year-old from Saalfelden is the only woman in Austria to complete the double apprenticeship as a cable car technician and electrical engineer with a high school diploma. In May she was also awarded the title "Salzburg's Apprentice of the Year 2022".

After so much praise from the highest level, there was an extensive celebration afterwards. The Upper Austrian band "Groovezeichen" and magicians created a good atmosphere, who amazed and smiled at the tables with their accompaniments at the tables. A professional bartender spoiled the cable car company with tasty cocktail creations.

In the end, everyone present agreed that such a festival needs to be repeated in the near future. But first, the Schmitten team hopes to welcome many guests to the Schmittenhöhe in the upcoming winter season.
