As part of the "Schladming Mountain Christmas", many highlights and contemplative events await visitors, such as Advent at the Talbach, the magic of Advent Talbachklamm or Advent on the mountain. Every year, the area around Talbach Talbachschenke is transformed into an atmospheric Christmas market. In addition to rustic huts with Styrian delicacies and genuine craft, Christmas performances by small and large local artists on the Advent stage will delight you.

The "Magic of Advent in the Talbachklamm" ensures an extraordinary experience with its wildly romantic winter hiking trail along the gorge. The magic of the pre-Christmas season is noticeable through Bach's light effects, the contemplative sounds of the musicians and singers, and the affectionate stories of the storyteller. However, Mother Nature is really the director, because snow and ice glitter with the Talbach and always provide new forms and sculptures.

Another highlight in the Advent season in Schladming-Dachstein is the summit event on the Riesneralm on 7 and 8 December, when winter spreads quietly in the valley. Everyone comes to this Advent market in a festive mood, when at the summit in the evening hour wonderful sounds sound and the candlelight illuminates the night. Furthermore, stories of Christmas and insight into old traditional crafts provide the right mood. With the chairlift between 17.00 and 19.30, the summit event can be reached directly at the Hochsitz, this is under the motto "Auffi fåhrn to Owi'kemman". At 21.00 o'clock it goes with the lift for all down again into the valley. All information online: www.schladming-dachstein.at/gipfeladvent

Mills Advent in Ramsau am Dachstein

From 06.12. until 20.12.2018 from 17.00 to 21.00 o'clock the Mühlen Advent takes place every Thursday in Ramsau am Dachstein. Visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the sleigh ride from the Waldschenke to the mill. Then it's equipped with lanterns over the Hofrat-Gruber-Weg and the Philosophenweg, past those places where once stood 11 out of a total of 64 Ramsau mills. Culinary delights, historical insights and contemplative moments round off the Mühlen Advent. Sleigh rides are always departing at 16.00, 17.30 and 19.00 hrs and a reservation is requested.
