SCARPA Promotes Leaders Within North American Marketing Team

SCARPA North America this month announced several promotions within its marketing department, reflecting SCARPA’s ongoing commitment to elevating leaders within its organization along with strengthening brand storytelling, athlete support and community engagement.

Leading the SCARPA North America marketing team, Kayla Hicks was promoted to Marketing and Communications Manager. In other department shifts, John Weir was elevated to Athlete and Events Coordinator, and Olivia McCartney was promoted to Digital Communications and Engagement Coordinator. These advancements reflect a deliberate investment in leadership and specialization across the team, positioning SCARPA to meet the needs of a growing consumer base and advance the brand’s long-term vision in the North American market.

“As SCARPA continues to innovate, it’s critical that our communications evolve alongside our product,” said Kim Miller, CEO of SCARPA North America. “Kayla, John and Olivia have been working hard at SCARPA to make exactly that happen, and I’m pleased to see them move into these new roles leading various aspects of our global and North American marketing activities.”

In her new role, Hicks will lead integrated brand strategy, product launch planning and creative direction for North America. Building on a recent update of the SCARPA brand platform at a global level, she will play a central role in shaping how SCARPA communicates its heritage, technology and athlete-driven ethos to consumers.

Weir steps into the position of Athlete and Events Coordinator, where he will lead SCARPA’s event presence, demos and media order operations, while strengthening athlete and ambassador coordination. His responsibilities include sponsorship leadership, product distribution and performance reporting, ensuring SCARPA’s partnerships across climbing, skiing, mountaineering and trail running are supported with increased alignment and impact.

As Digital Communications and Engagement Coordinator, McCartney will guide SCARPA’s social media, email and influencer marketing programs, while leading the brand’s evolving ambassador program. McCartney’s role also includes community ambassador management and support for the SCARPA Athlete Mentorship Initiative curriculum, helping broaden SCARPA’s digital presence and community reach.

“These promotions mark an important step in SCARPA North America’s investment in marketing excellence,” Miller said. “They help strengthen our team’s ability to connect with consumers, support retail and athlete partners, and champion the brand’s commitment to innovation and mountain culture.”
