Salomon Publishes Its 2024 Impact Report

Salomon has released its 2024 Impact Report, the third annual review of the brand’s sustainability progress and ambitions. The report outlines how Salomon is advancing its “Change Our Future” strategy through actions focused on circularity, community engagement, and industry collaboration.

Nearly a decade after launching their first sustainability strategy, the 2024 report takes stock of the progress they’ve made against core environmental and social commitments, with a parIcular focus on product circularity, community engagement, and collaboraIve efforts within the industry. The report also outlines how “Change Our Future” strategy remains central to shaping Salomon's direction — and how new initiatives are helping extend product life cycles and strengthen transition to circular business models.
Highlights from 2024
Driving innovation through circular design
- Launch of a road running supershoe, S/LAB Phantasm, produced locally in France, combines carbon-fiber propulsion with locally sourced materials for high performance and a reduced carbon footprint
- Introduction of the first fully recyclable ski and snowboard helmet, made from mono-material polyolefins.
- In partnership with Carbios, Salomon helped unveil the world’s first 100% fiber-to-fiber biorecycled T-shirt made from enzymatically recycled textile waste, a breakthrough in material circularity.’
Investing in people and culture
- Salomon rolled out its first global, anonymous Employee Engagement Survey, achieving a score of 7.9/10 – above industry benchmarks, offering valuable insights into internal culture.
- The brand continued to expand sustainability training programs, covering topics such as eco-design, responsible communication, and CRCS certification.
Building a more inclusive outdoor community
- Launch of Salomon’s first adaptive running prosthesis, designed to make road and trail running more accessible to athletes with disabilities.
- The Champs-Élysées flagship store hosted “Adaptive Night,” an inclusive community event celebrating adaptive sports innovation.
- The Salomon Foundation launched a new donation fund supporting NGOs that promote accessibility and inclusion in outdoor activities, complementing Salomon’s ongoing mission to assist mountain professionals facing life-changing events.
Advancing Product Innovation Through Circularity: Salomon continue to pioneer new approaches in sustainable product design:
- The S/LAB Phantasm 2 Made in France, Salomon's first road running super shoe produced locally at ASF 4.0 in Ardèche (France), combines carbon-fiber propulsion for high performance, with locally sourced materials, for the upper, for a reduced carbon footprint.
- The Brigade INDEX, the first fully recyclable ski and snowboard helmet, was launched after four years of R&D and made entirely from recyclable polyolefins.
- In partnership with Carbios, they helped unveil the world’s first 100% fiber-to-fiber biorecycled tee-shirt, created from enzymatically recycled textile waste — a breakthrough in material circularity.

- In 2024, Salomon stepped up its efforts to improve accessibility by tesIng adapIve prosthesis prototypes for snowboarding, skiing, and ski touring alongside several athletes — devices that were then used throughout the winter season.
- To mark the occasion, they hosted Adaptive Night at their Champs-Élysées flagship store. The event celebrated inclusive sport and was a major success — gathering athletes, partners, and community members around the latest innovaIons in adaptive equipment and apparel.
