Austria's largest biking region, comprising Saalbach Hinterglemm, Saalfelden Leogang, and Fieberbrunn, and the Wexl Trails in St. Corona am Wechsel have officially extended their successful strategic partnership. Under the motto "From a fun day trip to a relaxed vacation," the two top destinations are further expanding their collaboration – more than just symbolically: The announcement was duly celebrated at the joint community event, saisonWEXL.
The partnership between the two bike hotspots is a milestone in Austrian mountain bike tourism. The goal of the cooperation is to appeal to day visitors and holidaymakers alike, attract new target groups to biking, and sustainably increase the attractiveness of both regions.
"Our collaboration shows that we can achieve more by joining forces. The motto 'From a fun day trip to a relaxed vacation' perfectly describes how our offerings complement each other: The Wexl Trails delight day visitors, while Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, with its diversity, offers ideal conditions for longer stays," emphasizes Marlene Krug, mastermind behind Austria's largest biking region.
The saisonWEXL – An event for the community
The highlight of the announcement was the jointly organized saisonWEXL. The event attracted numerous bike enthusiasts to St. Corona and offered a successful mix of trail action, exclusive ride-outs with three-time Downhill World Champion Vali Höll and MTB influencer and Saalbach Ambassador Stevie Schneider, and relaxed networking opportunities. The event was not only a celebration for the community but also a powerful symbol of the active partnership between the two regions.
