Protest Sportswear Celebrates 30th Anniversary With A Big Party

Protest Sportswear is celebrating this year; the brand has been around for 30 years. Protest Sportswear is originally a Dutch sportswear brand, started in 1993, for board sports enthusiasts. To mark this milestone, a grand party was organized on Wednesday 24 May in the Netherlands with 700 guests.

Protest was founded 30 years ago by a group of Dutch snowboarders. In addition to a winter collection, the brand now has a street, beach, surf and outdoor collection. A cycling collection has also been part of the range for a few years, all based on the mission: "To help everyone ride more".

Together with all international distributors, customers, shops, suppliers and colleagues, the 30th anniversary was celebrated with the Grandeur Dinner Show in Studio 21 with Kris Kross Amsterdam as the special act and closing of the evening. Protest has been working hard on a new brand video recently. A video that describes exactly what Protest stands for. In addition, Protest Sportswear is launching the 'My Protest Heritage' campaign, which aims to highlight the evolution of Protest and the role the brand has played in everyone's lives.

In the coming years, Protest Sportswear will focus even more on innovative and sustainable collections in order to contribute to the protection of our planet, so that future generations can also pursue the same active lifestyle as its current customers.

“The anniversary party on May 24 was a special opportunity to show our appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of Protest,” says Managing Director Wesley van Wijnbergen . “A great moment to reminisce by showing footage from the past 30 years in combination with a great dinner show.” The MD Wesley also presented checks to two charities, namely 'The Surf Project', which gives children with mental health issues the opportunity to surf and 'Snowboarders of Solidarity', an international organization that helps snowboarders from war zones.

Protest is located in the Netherlands. In addition to the Design, Marketing, E - commerce and Sales departments, the 10,000m2 solar - driven head office also includes its own logistics center from which 3,000 European (sports) shops are supplied, and recently also shops in America and Canada.
