Prinoth Sets Up For Ski World Cup In Val Gardena

Prinoth and World Cup in Val Gardena will be celebrating their birthday: 55 years ago, Ernst Prinoth built the world's first snow groomer: incomparable in technology and of crucial importance for winter sports.

The roots of Prinoth's beginnings are in Val Gardena, where the race driver Ernst Prinoth opened a garage in 1951. Fascinated by fast engines and technical innovations, but also a passionate skier, he started developing his first snow groomers. Ski tourism in the Dolomites was also growing rapidly in parallel with Prinoth's success story. In the winter of 1968/69, the first downhill ski race was held on the legendary Saslong slope in Val Gardena - and Prinoth paved the way for the skiers to reach the finish line. The year before, in 1967, the Alpine Ski World Cup had been founded and its fiftieth anniversary will be celebrated on the Saslong slope. The historic arc spanning from 1967 to 2017 will be celebrated with a rich celebration programme (centered on this year's FIS Downhill and Super-G races), the highlight of which will be the 50th anniversary celebration show on Friday, December 15, 2017. Of course, Prinoth, as a partner of the first hour, will join the party.

A perfect combination of tradition and innovation

Vision, farsightedness and passion for technology - these are the ingredients for the success that has accompanied this South Tyrolean company over the decades. As part of the LEITNER Group, Prinoth, with its long track record, has continued to grow and has become what it is today - half a century later: the synonym for vehicles on tracks offering the highest standards of quality.

Alongside the original production of snow groomers, Prinoth now stands on two other important pillars and is continuing to raise the bar in both the tracked vehicles and vegetation management sectors. In addition to its headquarters in Sterzing, South Tyrol, Prinoth has production facilities in Canada and Germany and employs over 600 people worldwide.

The secret of Prinoth's success is as simple as it is effective: only the best along the entire line! With innovative solutions, the company has always relied on state-of-the-art technology combined with unique design. No mountain is too steep, no terrain too extreme and no challenge too big - Prinoth vehicles master obstacles, convincing customers around the globe.
