Planai: Bikepark Schladming Has A New, Pioneering Highlight

With the ceremonial opening of the new bike bridge on the Planai, not only was an important contribution made to safety, but a new favorite spot was also created for all fans of spectacular views.

The modern steel structure now spans the state road and connects the popular Stadium Flowline, Kessler Line, and the legendary World Cup Downhill trails. Thanks to this bridge, bikers can now cross the road safely and comfortably – without any detours or traffic risks.

Observation platform with a wow effect

Particularly impressive: The new bridge is more than just an overpass – it's a true viewing point! The integrated platform offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Dachstein massif, the Planai cable car, and the popular Step-Up jump. Whether it's a selfie, a group photo, or a spectacular action shot, this spot is guaranteed to be one of the most photographed spots in the Schladming Bike Park.

Strong words at the opening

At the official opening, Planai Managing Director Georg Bliem welcomed numerous guests, including representatives of the Schladming-Dachstein Tourism Association, local residents and Mayor Hermann Trinker.

"With the new bridge overpass, we are not only setting another milestone for the safety and comfort of our bikers, but with the viewing platform we are also creating a place for a short break with a magnificent view. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who contributed to the realization of this project," said Dir. Georg Bliem.
