Planai / Schladming: 10 Years of Hopsiland

Two reasons to celebrate on the Planai: On Thursday, September 11, the 10th anniversary of the popular Hopsiland was celebrated with a ceremony. At the same time, the new circular trail "Hopsi's Journey Around the World" was officially opened. In addition to Mayor Hermann Trinker, local mountain hut owners, landowners, guides, and project participants were also present. Children from the elementary schools in Schladming, Untertal, and Pichl also had the opportunity, at the invitation of the Planai, to try out the new circular trail and explore the play stations.
After the musical introduction by the Schladming Music School, Planai Managing Director Georg Bliem welcomed the guests and reflected on a true success story: "Hopsiland has been delighting children and families since 2015. The fact that we are not only celebrating our 10th anniversary today, but also opening a new themed trail, makes this day special. My sincere thanks go to the landowners, everyone involved in the project, and our Hopsiland team, led by Bettina Vettori and Gerhard Baier."
With the new trail, Hopsiland doubles its length from a 2-kilometer circular route to a total of four kilometers. Under the motto "Hopsi's Journey Around the World," the stops take visitors to destinations including Australia, a safari, and an exciting journey through Europe.
Mayor Hermann Trinker also congratulated the guests: "Hopsiland has been a flagship for families on the Planai for years. The new circular trail will further expand this successful project and impressively underscore the Planai's family-friendly credentials – a win-win for guests and locals alike."
At the end, the children of the three primary schools provided a musical surprise before the guests explored the new circular route and the celebration
