With around 400 kilometers of bike and bike trails, the Tyrolean PillerseeTal can boast a great range of bikes. Thanks to the merger with Saalbach Hinterglemm and Leogang, the PillerseeTal is now part of the largest bike region in Austria.

So far, the PillerseeTal, with around 400 kilometers of excellent trails, has had a great range of bikes and bikes. In terms of e-bikes, the region was a pioneer together with the Kitzbüheler Alpen and was already part of the largest e-bike destination in the world 10 years ago. Now the PillerseeTal goes one step further. By merging with Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang, Austria's largest bike region is created. Over 70 kilometers of single trails, downhill tracks and flow lines, with the associated nine mountain railways, are included in the new joint bike ticket. Beginners can approach the sport on more than 70 kilometers of trails, beginners' areas and pump tracks and experts can discover their personal favorite routes.

Limitless bike enjoyment
The merger also creates a cross-regional mountain bike trail network, the limits of which are defined only by one's own condition. E-bike charging stations in huts and in the valley charge the bike's batteries during a leisurely lunch break, thus ensuring even greater ranges and tour options. The offer is rounded off by the services specially tailored to bikers, such as bike shops, rental, bike schools, guiding and practice areas for beginners. The huge network of signposted mountain bike trails in Austria's largest bike region only stops at your own physical abilities. Whether a pleasure tour with an e-bike or a challenging mountain bike marathon - here every biker will find exactly the right offer for his endurance. The PillerseeTal focuses primarily on enjoyment. For example, on the gourmet e-bike tour, in which the participants cycle a 3-course menu. Beautiful routes and a stop at the three KochArt establishments in the region alternate. From the starter to the dessert, you can enjoy one course each in these selected restaurants, which focus more on regionality and sustainability, so that at the end of the day you can look back on a multitude of culinary and scenic highlights. The gourmet e-bike tour is offered weekly by the tourism association. As a further gourmet tip, the region presents the picnic at the mountain lake at the Grießenbodenalm. With a basket full of regional products you cycle to the Grießenboden mountain lake and enjoy the real taste of home-made food. After a cheese tasting and the smallest cinema on the mountain in the Wildalm, there is a half-hour hike to the Wildseelodersee, where the wonderful panorama crowns the day.

Shared bike ticket
Since the beginning of mountain bike sports in Austria, Saalbach Hinterglemm and Saalfelden Leogang have been pioneers in bike trails and infrastructure. The region, which has long since grown into one of the most modern and largest ski areas in Europe thanks to the merger with Leogang and Fieberbrunn in winter and has successfully worked together for years, has now dared to take the step in summer. For a long time, a joint offer and the merger were worked on in order to offer bikers the largest possible mountain bike trail network. With the common bike ticket, the trails and the mountain bike offer can be used perfectly, then all nine mountain railways with bike transport in Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang and Fieberbrunn are included.
