PillerseeTal Appeals To All Senses This Summer

The summer season in PillerseeTal promises action and adventure as well as time together and experiences close to nature. With numerous innovations around the exciting themed trails, brand new bike area Streuböden and treetop climbing park as well as the popular weekly highlights, guests and locals can look forward to a varied summer.

In the PillerseeTal this summer, all senses are challenged - among other things, to reveal the secret of the Steinberg king. The nature game is free and leads to the most beautiful places in the region. Sometimes it's about listening and looking closely, sometimes about skill and logic. However, it always takes team spirit to successfully solve the puzzles. A new addition this summer is “the crystal train” in Hochfilzen. Simply pull the crystals in the correct order and you will learn the power word number nine.

Hochfilzen is also home to the world's only Biathlon World Cup trail that can be explored on foot or by mountain bike. At the individual stations, visitors learned numerous details about the sport of biathlon and, of course, it is also important to take part. For example at the summer biathlon "Schlag den Landi" or the sporty sprint to the Hoametzl Alm. Anyone who answers all questions about the themed trail has earned a medal and can pick it up at the tourist office or the municipality of Hochfilzen. Since this summer there are also augmented reality elements at some stations. Simply scan the code with your mobile phone and let yourself be fascinated by the virtual information on the subject of biathlon.

Hike like a legend, on the other hand, is the motto in Waidring, where the legendary trail has been redesigned. From the village center in Waidring, the family- and pram-friendly hiking trail leads through 12 local legends for around 5 km. From the petrified face to the gold eaves or the Habergeiss to the monster from the Sonnberg, a varied, easy hike with an entertainment factor is offered for young and old.

Action, adventure and skill
The new Streuböden bike area in Fieberbrunn is all about action, adventure and skill. As part of Austria's largest bike region, kids, newcomers and “pleasure trailers” will find a trail, two lines and a pump track between the middle and valley station of Streuböden this summer. The "Schweinestberg-Trail" leads for 4 kilometers from the middle station over the Schweinestberg into the valley.

Undulating passages, plenty of curves and the wide lines ensure a varied, fluid and easy-to-manage downhill experience. At the valley station, the “Easy Park Obingleitn” awaits with two easy trails. The “Hänsn and Obing Line” are ideal for getting to grips with the trail technique on the 25 hairpin bends, the heels and wooden elements, or to refine your skills. The pommel lift becomes a convenient ascent aid. If you are looking for an extra challenge, you will find it in the pump track in the Easy Park.

Skill is also required in the new treetop climbing park on Pillersee. Various courses with different levels of difficulty, from the mini course for children to the advanced course, are available. Flying snowboard or flying toboggan guarantee pure adrenaline. As a grand finale, the 100-meter-long flying fox awaits.
