Pats Peak Learn To Ski And Ride Program Open For Registration

Pats Peak, southern New Hampshire’s favorite local mountain, is excited to announce that registration is open for its Learn to Ski and Ride Program. This long-running program offers lift access, lessons for all ability levels, and affordable rental packages, making it the perfect way for kids to learn a lifelong sport.
The Learn to Ski and Ride Program is a five-week series designed for pre-scheduled school and recreation groups. Each session includes a one-hour lesson during a designated day and time, plus lift access for that day. Students register through their school or recreation department coordinator. New groups interested in starting a program can contact the Pats Peak Snowsports School at 603-428-3245.
For those unable to join a group, the Learn to Ski and Ride Open Program provides an individual sign-up option for students ages 6–17. Participants can choose from Monday through Thursday for Session 1, or Thursday and Friday for Session 2. To register, call (603) 428-3245.
Classes are limited to eight students per group to ensure personal attention and quality instruction. Lessons are available for all skill levels, from first-timers to advanced skiers and riders, and include a popular Freestyle Class for those eager to safely explore terrain parks. For experienced skiers and riders (Level 5 or above), a Lift Only option is available for those who prefer to ski or ride independently.
All participants must be at least six years old by January 1, 2026, and in first grade. Classes begin on Monday, January 5, 2026, for Session 1, and Thursday, February 19, 2026, for Session 2. Parents and guardians can also take advantage of discounted weekday tickets and Parent Frequent User Cards.
As an added bonus, every Learn to Ski and Ride participant receives a Bonus Day with a free lift ticket to ski or ride at Pats Peak, Waterville Valley, and Bretton Woods. This ticket is valid from Monday, February 23, 2026, through the end of the 2026 ski season at each mountain, giving students more time to enjoy New Hampshire’s slopes at no extra cost.
“This program has been a cornerstone of Pats Peak for more than 60 years,” said John Pawlak, Snowsports Director at Pats Peak. “We love helping kids discover the joy of skiing and snowboarding. The NH Ski and Ride Bonus is a fantastic way for students to enjoy even more time on the slopes at Pats Peak, Bretton Woods, and Waterville Valley.”
The Pats Peak Snowsports School takes pride in offering high-quality instruction in a fun and supportive environment. Lessons are tailored to each student’s age and ability, following the American Teaching System, a method endorsed by PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) and AASI (American Association of Snowboard Instructors), to ensure effective skill development and a lifelong love of the sport.
