Own Dopplemayr's Ironing Board....Auction Of Personal Effects Of Cable car Pioneer Artur Doppelmayr Runs Until 18th Aug
Personal pieces from the estate of the Vorarlberg entrepreneur who died in 2017 are now going under the hammer. Bids are possible until August 18th. Whilst SIn loves a bit of ski history, we suspect that the attraction of Artur's ironing board, pans or toaster might rather limited...it's best described as dumpster fodder.
He was an innovative entrepreneur, honorary senator, late appointed doctoral student: Artur Doppelmayr, born in 1922, shaped the Vorarlberg cable car company Doppelmayr for decades and made it internationally successful from Wolfurt. The cable car pioneer was the recipient of numerous decorations and awards and was still 75 when he received his doctorate from Graz University of Technology. Doppelmayr died in his adopted home of Carinthia in 2017.
Guest books, letters and everyday objects
Numerous private pieces by the successful entrepreneur can now be bought at auction: more than 250 items from his estate will go under the hammer on aurena.at. You can bid now, the bids will be accepted online on August 18, 2022 from 9:25 a.m.
The exhibits include the personal guest book of Inge and Artur Doppelmayr, grandfather Conrad Doppelmayr's wedding invitation from 1889, numerous letters and dedicated books, as well as various depictions of cable cars and private photos. The entrepreneur's diplomas and certificates of honor are also up for auction.
Suitcases, watches and personal gifts
In addition, Artur Doppelmayr's personal everyday objects and furnishings will go under the hammer: from large-format suitcases to watches and crockery to a hip flask dedicated to the 70th birthday or an engraved dagger.
