NSAA Looks To Hire Marketing Specialist

NSAA seeks a Marketing Specialist to round out its new marketing team. This team member will assist in managing NSAA's digital footprint, including its main website, affiliate websites and social media channels. This includes creating engaging and informative content in line with the overall marketing strategy and messaging of the association, and assisting with the tracking of analytics and KPIs. This position is ideal for someone with 2-4 years marketing experience who is looking to take the next step in their ski industry career.
The Marketing Specialist assists with and implements NSAA’s digital marketing strategies, including email marketing, social media, and web presence. The ideal candidate is highly organized, eager to learn, has strong writing skills and is able to manage several projects simultaneously. Functional understanding of digital marketing trends and best practices required. This position reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications.
  • Qualifications - 2-4 years of experience in digital marketing, communications or social media coordination
  • Skilled copywriter with proficiency in AP style
  • Understanding of marketing best practices, including digital/SEO
  • Ability to contribute to and implement social media strategy and tactics
  • Website management experience with functional knowledge of HTML and content management systems
  • Can take direction from multiple departments and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Photo/video editing skills and experience a plus
  • Must be able to work from the Lakewood, Colorado office

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement strategies and communications plans as assigned, assist with departmental planning, and share insights into and experience with new and innovative marketing strategies and tactics
  • Daily social media content generation and monitoring for NSAA and its affiliate sites
  • Provide content updates and maintenance for NSAA website and its affiliate sites with a goal of increased use by members
  • Establish a system for consistent web analytics, providing data to Marketing Director and other NSAA staff members as needed
  • Assist with NSAA’s email marketing program
  • Aggregate research and identify data sources to support NSAA education programs
  • Study and be familiar with trends and developments in the ski and marketing industries
  • Coordinate with both Marketing Director and Educational Programming Director to affect growth in participant initiatives, including the Learn to Ski and Snowboard program
  • Grow NSAA’s digital presence through paid and earned media and effective SEO practices
  • Assist Marketing Director with media monitoring program
  • Provide support for NSAA Journal by assisting editor as needed
  • Organize and maintain NSAA media library and conduct photo/video editing
