Nikon Canada Official Camera Of Alpine Canada National Teams For 2018-2019 Season

Nikon Canada is proud to partner with Alpine Canada for the 2018-19 season as the Official Camera Partner of the Canadian Ski Teams. Supporting all three national teams financially and with all-important Nikon products and technology.  Two Nikon ambassadors for this partnership have been chosen: visually impaired Paralympic Champion Mac Marcoux and his new guide, Tristan Rodgers. This additional funding will help support their dreams of being on the Para-Alpine National team.

“Nikon support has made it much easier for me me to take care of expenses throughout the season while capturing great footage along the way. I am looking forward to kicking off another season with them by my side!” – Mac Marcoux, para-alpine athlete.

Alpine, ski cross and para-alpine teams have the chance to work with one of the top global camera brands in Canada and the world, a leader in camera technology. They receive new and innovative camera equipment that supports them while training on and off snow.

“During our training runs, we have been using Nikon’s best-in-class technology and our teams have definitely benefited from the equipment for race start videos and during training. All that equipment is very precious for us for a better in-depth analysis of our team’s performances.” – Stanley Hayer, Canada Ski Cross Head Coach.

Nikon Canada is providing Alpine Canada teams with both imaging and sport optics products, including compact digital cameras, action cameras, DSLRs, rangefinders, binoculars and more, ensuring our coaches and athletes are equipped with the best content capture technology, enabling our athletes for success on the world stage. One of the novelties in this year’s agreement, is that Nikon will provide a new lens to our events where our fans and ski community will be able to preview a World Cup race such as Blue Mountain Ski Cross World Cup in January 2019, that will enhance further engagement and excitement to attend a high-level World Cup event. The main focus for the season will mostly rest on behind the scenes content on all events and athletes via Alpine Canada social media platforms.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Nikon Canada. Nikon cameras will provide ski fans across Canada incredible behind the scenes vantage points of our Alpine Canada ski team in action throughout the season.” – Steve Wallace, Chief Commercial Officer for Alpine Canada Alpin
