New Chapter At Ski Amadé: Change Of Leadership At Austria's Largest Ski Association

After more than two decades at the helm of Ski amadé, Dr. Christoph Eisinger will step down as Managing Director and CEO of Ski amadé GmbH. His successor will be his current deputy and authorized signatory, Manuel Schnell. The handover marks a planned and future-oriented generational change in Austria's largest ski association.

Dr. Christoph Eisinger played a key role in the founding of Ski amadé in 2000 and took over management of Austria's largest ski association in 2001. Under his leadership, Ski amadé developed into one of the most important cooperative communities in European tourism.

Among the outstanding milestones of his tenure was the successful positioning of Ski amadé as an internationally recognized ski destination brand. Particularly influential was the development of a unique cooperation model that connected and strengthened cable car companies, tourism associations, and Ski amadé in an unprecedented way.

Another significant advance was the introduction of a unified ski pass and billing system, which has set new standards in efficiency and user-friendliness for both guests and partner companies.

During his tenure, numerous innovative projects in the field of digitalization were also implemented. These include the creation of a modern e-commerce platform, the development of a dedicated ski resort app, the introduction of data-enabled ski goggles, and a dynamic early booking system for ski passes – measures that position Ski amadé as a future-oriented pioneer in the industry.

"I look back on the last 25 years with pride and am grateful for the numerous valuable experiences and the many successes we have achieved together in Ski amadé. This positive development has been made possible by the close collaboration, high level of commitment, and shared vision of all partners," says Christoph Eisinger. "With Manuel Schnell, an experienced, competent colleague is taking over, who has played a key role in shaping Ski amadé for over 13 years. I am convinced that he will lead the company successfully into the future."

Ski amadé is repositioning itself: Continuity in the brand, focus on digitalization and close partnerships

With the change in management, Ski amadé is strategically realigning itself while remaining a strong, trusted brand. In the future, a special focus will be on expanding digital services, intensifying regional cooperation, further developing the successful ticketing system, and increasing the use of artificial intelligence.

Manuel Schnell will continue the current direction and set new standards: "I am delighted by the trust and the opportunity to lead Ski amadé into an innovative, service-oriented, and collaborative future. Together with the cable cars and tourism partners, we want to continue to offer guests an outstanding skiing experience – with quality, passion, and progress."

"On behalf of the entire Ski amadé Board, I would like to sincerely thank Dr. Christoph Eisinger for his pioneering work, his dedication, and his vision in building the "Ski amadé" brand. Dr. Eisinger has developed and shaped the marketing and ticketing network like no other over two decades, driven innovation, and created immense added value for all participating companies through his high level of personal commitment. Through his extensive network and professional skills, he has always been able to optimally combine the interests of the ski association, the mountain railway companies, and the tourism units (tourism associations, LTOs, hotels, ski schools, mountain hut owners, sports retailers, etc.), thus contributing to the positive development of the winter destinations. We are also delighted that Manuel Schnell is the ideal successor to Dr. Eisinger. He knows the organizational unit perfectly, his skills are known to all partners, and we are therefore ideally positioned for future challenges. The entire Ski amadé Board values Mr. Schnell, and we look forward to a collegial and successful collaboration to continue to be able to set new accents and innovations in the future," says Ski amadé President Daniel Berchthaller.
