New Cable Car In Poland’s Bieszczady Mountains

Visitors to the Bieszczady Mountains are now able to take an unforgettable sightseeing tour by gondola lift and enjoy the unique attractions in the resorts above the dam in Solin.

The scenic cable car in Solin is a special attraction, not only in terms of tourism, but also technologically, a unique way to admire the landscapes of Lake Solina and Bieszczady.

"This is a historic moment for the PKL Group. Just as dreams related to the creation of the railway to Kasprowy Wierch came true 85 years ago, today we are witnessing the implementation of an investment that meets the expectations of tourists visiting the Bieszczady Mountains visit, as well as the local resident agrees – says Daniel Pitrus, Chairman of the Board of PKL.

An attraction like never before

In June 2021, the Polish Cable Cars and the Polish Development Fund announced the construction of a new investment that will become one of the main tourist attractions in the region. After more than a year, the first tourists can now travel by train from the center of Solina to Jawor Mountain.

The Bieszczady Mountains is a unique region with great scenery and natural values. I am convinced that thanks to this investment we will be able to fully exploit its enormous potential and attract new tourists while preserving the character and natural environmental values ​​of this place. This is PKL's largest investment to date, but the company's plans are ambitious and take into account the development of existing centers, as well as new investments that will contribute to the growth of the company's value, - said Paweł Borys, President of PFR.

On the 1.5 km route – from the Plasza lower station to the upper station on Jawor Mountain – travelers can admire spectacular landscapes from the heights of the green hills of the Bieszczady Mountains, the monumental dam and the Solińskie Lake.
