Nassfeld’s Millennium Express Receives ÖZIV Certificate For Accessibility

The Millennium Express cable car in Tröpolach has been tested for accessibility by the ÖZIV Federal Association and awarded the ÖZIV certificate.
An independent audit confirmed that the cable car on Carinthia's No. 1 adventure mountain – Nassfeld – meets all essential requirements: Accessible parking spaces and step-free access facilitate access, while high-contrast markings and clearly visible entrances provide orientation. Ticket counters and information areas are wheelchair-accessible and enable communication even for people with hearing impairments. Accessible restrooms, generously sized cabins (110x140 cm), a slow-down function, and step-free entry and exit complete the offering. Furthermore, trained staff at all (intermediate) stations provide personal assistance and support.
"For us, accessibility also means social responsibility. With the ÖZIV certification, we are sending a clear signal that Nassfeld, with its unique natural setting between mountains and lakes, is open to guests of all ages, with and without disabilities," says Christian Krisper, CEO of Bergbahnen Nassfeld Pramollo AG.
The certificate is initially valid until 2028 and makes the Millennium Express cable car at Nassfeld, together with the Brunnach Biosphere Reserve cable car in St. Oswald, model examples of barrier-free tourism in Carinthia.
