MWV Trails Association To Present Rock The Rec III

The Mt. Washington Valley Trails Association is excited to present Rock the Rec III; an evening of music and celebration to support the Mt. Washington Valley Rec Path, on Thursday, August 18th at the base of the North Slope. Rock the Rec will feature live music by the local bands Rek’-lis and Diana’s Bath Salts. Tickets are $15 and children 12 and under are free.  100% of the ticket proceeds will go to the Mount Washington Valley Trails Association to fund the North Conway Rec Path.

The multi-use, 2.9-mile paved path, currently under construction to be completed in the spring of 2023, will run between Cranmore Mountain and Hemlock Lane (by Wal-Mart). This recreation path, also dubbed the Next Generation Amenity will be an asset to the North Conway area providing a location for non-motorized outdoor recreation as well as provide access to hiking and mountain biking trails.  For details on the progress and design of the North Conway portion of the MWV Rec Path visit MWVRecPath.org to access the Conway Daily Sun article written on May 20thDream coming true: North Conway “Bypath” takes shape.

“Rock the Rec III is a celebration of how far the rec path committee has come with their project-Phase 1 of the Conway Rec Path. After years of working on securing land permission and raising funds, this multi-use paved recreation path for all ages and abilities is now under construction and on its way to completion no later than June, 2023. The Mount Washington Trails Association, the nonprofit organization in charge of this project, invites Valley citizens and visitors to join them on Thursday, August 18th, at Cranmore Mountain Resort for a fun-filled night of music, food, and beverages, and celebration. Hope to see you all there!" said Sally McMurdo, MWV Trails Association Board Member and MWV Rec Path Community Outreach Committee Co-Chair.

Rock the Rec III will include vendors that will be open at 5pm, and music will begin at 6pm. Come early to get your seat on the lawn and purchase some MWV Trails Association merchandise. Food and beverage will be available for purchase on Zip’s Deck. Tickets can be purchased in advance at cranmore.com or at the event until 7:30pm.  Rock the Rec will take place rain or shine.
