Mt. Hood Meadows' Provide To Ride Event Collects Over 5,600 Pounds Of Food & Nearly $10K For FISH Food Bank

Mt. Hood Meadows saw another great turnout for its 4th Annual Provide to Ride event this past Tuesday, as the benefit for Hood River's FISH Food Bank generated over 5,600 pounds of food donations and nearly $10,000 in proceeds from lift ticket sales.
Mt. Hood Meadows guests were offered a free lift ticket for Tuesday if they brought 24 cans of food or two hams to the resort, or they could buy a specially priced $49 lift ticket, of which $44 was donated to FISH. Guests' generosity was repaid by Mother Nature with some fresh snow at the resort, making for great conditions for skiers and snowboarders.
“We were stoked to once again see such amazing support from the Meadows community for Provide to Ride and FISH Food Bank," said Greg Pack, President and GM of Mt. Hood Meadows. "Having the event coincide with the return of snow to the mountain made it all the more special this year."
FISH Food Bank is a nonprofit that serves people in need of food assistance in Hood River County and the community of Mosier, and is a partner agency of the Oregon Food Bank. The food bank has locations in Hood River, Cascade Locks, and Parkdale, and serves about 600 families in the region each month. For more info and to donate, please visit FISH's website.
