Mt. Ashland’s General Manager Andrew Gast Is Resigning

General Manager Andrew Gast is resigning having accepted a new position. The Mt. Ashland Ski Area team and Board of Directors extends its sincere appreciation to Andrew Gast for his leadership and wishes him continued success in his new role.
The Ski Area will continue to operate under the direction of its experienced and established Leadership Staff, who will oversee all day-to-day operations for the 25/26 season as the Mt. Ashland Association Board of Directors begins the process of hiring a new General Manager.
Adam Reiss, Mt. Ashland Association Board of Directors President, said, “Mt. Ashland has a strong core of employees with decades of experience that are more than capable of running the mountain until a new general manager is hired.” He went on to say ” “I can’t speak highly enough about Andrew. Everyday opening the mountain requires overcoming several obstacles, and not only did Andrew take this in stride, but he also prioritized maintaining and improving Mt. Ashland’s connection to the local community and made great progress in evolving the mountain into a year-round destination.”
Mt. Ashland Association has long emphasized leadership contingency planning, and the Board remains confident in the Mountain’s operational stability during this transition. The Leadership Team and Board of Directors are assessing all projects during this transition time and will have more status updates in the coming weeks.
