Together with friends or family, you embark on a mission that promises excitement, fun and tricky challenges. In the middle of the impressive landscape of the Mariazell mountains, you will experience a unique combination of nature and puzzle fun - a short hike with great experiences! Our first escape trail, "The Secret of the Gemeindealpe," invites young people aged 14 and over and adults to unravel a mysterious story that revolves around the legendary Gemeindealpe. The launch will take place in summer 2025, and it's guaranteed to be an adventure you won't want to miss!
How does the Mountain Escape Trail work? The players only need a cell phone. All other necessary equipment is in the player's backpack, which is picked up at the valley station of the Gemeindealpe Mitterbach. Then you take the chairlift to the middle station, from where the Escape Trail starts. Over a distance of almost three kilometers to the summit, you have to use your cell phone and equipment to solve puzzles and discover clues in order to uncover the "secret of the Gemeindealpe".
"We want to make the summer offer on the Gemeindealpe Mitterbach even more attractive and extensive. Together with the existing range of mountain carts and the crawler course, this creates a comprehensive overall experience for all target groups," added NÖVOG managing directors Wolfgang Schroll and Michael Hasenöhrl.
